A need to repair a water main break on North Main Street will require that the water service be shut off tomorrow, Thursday, January 16th, from 9 am to approximately 1 pm on North Main Street, Parkview Drive and Edward Avenue area, Slatersville Plaza, Cumberland Farms and Marshfield Commons.

 

In addition, some homes and businesses on Main Street may experience reduced water pressure.

The President is dismissing speculation about a rift with Attorney General Bill Barr. Before boarding Air Force One on his way to California, Trump said he has total confidence in Barr. Barr complained last week that Trump's tweets about the Justice Department were making it impossible to do his job.       President Trump is either pardoning or commuting the sentences of three individuals. Talking with reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Trump commuted the sentence of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich [[ blah-GOY-oh-vitch ]]. The President also pardoned former New York Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik and convicted financier Michael Milkin.        Stocks are ending the day mixed as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spook investors. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down more than 200 points at times today. At the closing bell, the Dow lost 166 points to 29-232. The S&P 500 fell 10 points to 33-70. However, the Nasdaq had quite a few companies do well to finish up 2 points to 97-33.       Officials in South Carolina are confirming six-year-old Faye Swetlik's killer was the deceased male found near her body. Swetlik disappeared from her home in Cayce February 10th and her body was found three days later. Public Safety Director Byron Snellgrove said evidence leads them to believe that 30-year-old Coty Taylor abducted and killed Swetlik. The Coroner's Office is ruling the cause of death as asphyxiation.       The Mars 2020 Rover is being readied for its mission to the red planet later this year. Since arriving from California last week, the rover has been undergoing processing at the Kennedy Space Center. NASA says the rover will pave the way for future human missions to Mars.       The 19th annual Tribeca Film Festival is kicking off April 15th. Opening night at the Beacon Theater in New York City will feature the premiere of "Jimmy Carter Rock and Roll President." The festival runs through April 26th.
