The head of the CDC says the next few months are going to be the most difficult in the history of public health in America. Dr. Robert Redfield warned the death toll from COVID-19 could be close to 450-thousand by February. He noted taking extra precautions like wearing masks would help.       Top Democrats are embracing a bipartisan stimulus proposal crafted by a group of moderates from both the House and the Senate. Negotiations over a new stimulus package have been stalled for months as neither party is willing to compromise.        The United States is temporarily withdrawing staff from it's embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. There are fears of a potential retaliation against America as the anniversary of the death of Iranian General Soleimani approaches. CNN reports the drawdown will take place in the lead up to the January 3rd anniversary and will last until mid-January.       The Mayor of Austin, Texas says he didn't violate any health orders by going on vacation to Mexico. Mayor Steve Adler says he talked with health officials before the early November trip, which happened after his daughter got married. Adler says he set a bad example for others but promises he took plenty of precautions.        Two police officers are in the hospital following a shooting on Florida's Gulf Cost. The St. Petersburg Police Department says the officers were hit just south of downtown, but it is unclear what led up to the shooting. One of the officers was taken to the hospital in serious condition and the other officer's condition is unknown.        Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" is dominating Billboard's holiday charts yet again. The 1994 hit has been number one for 41 weeks of the chart's 46 total weeks. In fact, only four songs have ever overtaken the classic, including Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" and Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me."
