The death toll in the Missouri duck boat tragedy is up to 13, with over half a dozen people injured and several more still missing. The amphibious vehicle got caught in choppy waters as it tried to cross Table Rock Lake near Branson during a storm yesterday evening. Divers will continue to search today for those still in the water.    President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are planning to meet again in the fall - this time in Washington. The White House says the President agreed during the Helsinki summit to ongoing working-level dialogue between U.S. and Russian security council staffs. Word of the invite comes as Trump has been widely criticized following his first meeting with Putin over perceptions that he gave up too much ground over the issue of election meddling.
Russia is showing off President Vladimir Putin's new generation of conventional and nuclear weapons. Russia's Defense Ministry broadcast a series of videos yesterday, following up on Putin's announcement in March. In an aggressive speech four months ago, Putin said Russia had developed a new array of nuclear weapons that could hit almost anywhere on Earth and evade a missile shield built by the U.S. The videos broadcast yesterday show Hollywood-style depictions of many of those weapons being tested or launched.    The NFL is putting its new national anthem policy on hold. The NFL and players union released a joint statement saying that league and team policies regarding conduct during the anthem will not be issued or enforced for several weeks as part of a standstill agreement. The two sides say they will continue their dialogue as they work through the anthem issue.    Your binge-watching may soon be interrupted by a test from the Emergency Alert System. A new Senate bill was introduced Wednesday that would explore the feasibility of sending emergency alerts through online streaming services. The bill itself doesn't mention any platforms, but a press release announcing the bill said services like Netflix and Spotify could be affected.    The Broadway musical Cats is being made into a movie starring Taylor Swift. Universal says the film version of Cats will also star James Corden, Jennifer Hudson and Ian McKellen. The director will be Tom Hooper, who directed Les Miserables. Shooting for Cats will begin later this year in the UK.
