at the Bellingham Senior Center

Bellingham, MA – August 21, 2017 – The month of September at the Bellingham Senior Center, located at 40 Blackstone Street, Bellingham MA, provides seniors with many opportunities to explore the worlds of learning and healthy living. From new cultural learning programming to a series that focuses on healthy living, there is something for everybody at the Bellingham Senior Center!

New to the Bellingham Senior Center is the Joy of Learning series. This free educational and informational series takes participants back in time as they explore the fascinating history of the Ottoman Empire and The Barbarian Empires of the Steppes. These FREE half-hour lectures will take place every Tuesday at 6pm in the Senior Center’s lounge, which has recently been refurbished with brand new, and very comfortable, chairs! Please call 508-966-0398 to sign up!

For those who are looking to learn how they can manage their possessions as they get older, the Senior Center is offering a free program called Buried in Treasures. Taking place at our 2 Maple Street facility on Friday, September 8th and 22nd from 10-11:30am, this FREE program will open a discussion of what treasures are most important to you, and how you can manage them as you age. Please call 508-966-0398 to sign up!

History buffs will want to attend the final installment of our Treason Season series. This series explores the interesting, and often controversial, lives of history’s most notorious conspirators. This month we will be discussing The Rosenberg’s, who were executed for conspiracy to commit espionage during the Cold War in 1951. Join us on Friday, September 8th at 10:30 for this FREE program. Please call 508-966-0398 to sign up!

Do you love music? If so, join us on Thursday, September 14th at 2:30 for our Rhythms and Sounds of the Orchestra presentation.
