STUNNING SEXIST COMMENTS AND BEHAVIOR

LEADS TO MAYOR LISA BALDELLI-HUNT CALLING ON CITY COUNCIL TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO DEMAND THE RESIGNATION OF

ZONING BOARD MEMBER ROLAND M. MICHAUD

WOONSOCKET, RI: Sexism is the belief that the members of one sex, usually women, are less intelligent or less capable than those of the other sex and need not be treated equally. It is also the behavior which is the result of this belief.

Roland Michaud, Woonsocket Zoning Board Member, publicly exhibited the behavior of an uncouth, vulgar, foulmouthed, and chauvinistic sexist male.

In one rambling, infantile, sexist breakdown on local radio station WNRI, Mr. Michaud recently said in talking about Mayor Baldelli-Hunt, "she is one insecure, crazy, nutty broad." He then said, "she is totally incompetent" and "she is an incompetent fraud."

"Mr. Michaud owes an apology to every Woonsocket resident, especially women, and I call on the members of the City Council to immediately demand the resignation of Mr. Michaud from the Zoning Board of Review. Failure to support his resignation will send a clear message to every woman, everywhere, that the members of the City Council condone sexism against all women," said Mayor Baldelli-Hunt.

President Trump is repeating an assertion that he doesn't think the FBI wants to investigate a decades old allegation of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Speaking at the White House today, Trump said -- "That's not what they do." He again accused Democrats of withholding information about the allegation until the 11th hour of the Senate confirmation process. The veteran federal judge has strongly rejected the allegation.       FEMA Administrator Brock Long says the next 48-hours in North Carolina are going to be incredibly critical following tropical depression Florence. Rivers are still expected to crest over the next few days and it will take a while for the water to recede. One of the main priorities of FEMA right now is to repair the infrastructure so that roads can re-open for first responders and power crews to get into affected areas.        President Trump is defending his order to release some classified material in the Russia investigation. Talking at the White House today, Trump called the probe a "terrible witch hunt" that has hurt the country. He said certain things should be opened up for people to see. Trump argued that some behavior in the FBI and the Justice Department has been disgraceful.        The murder of Iowa State golfer Celia Barquin Arozamena [[ SELL-ya BAR-kwin uh-ROZ-uh-MEE-nuh ]] is being investigated. Her body was found on Monday in the water by employees at the Coldwater Golf Links course. Police say they've arrested 22-year-old Collin Richards, a homeless man, on first-degree murder charges.        A new poll shows Ted Cruz' lead over Beto O'Rourke is growing. Quinnipiac [[ kwin-IP-pee-ack ]] University Poll says the Republican Cruz leads the Democrat O'Rourke 54-45 with one percent undecided. Polls from earlier this month showed the race for Cruz' U.S. Senate seat was almost neck and neck.       Julie Chen is officially leaving The Talk. She made the announcement in a videotaped message that aired on today's episode. Chen said she needed to spend more time at home with her husband and our young son. The announcement comes after her husband Les Moonves was ousted as head of the network over sexual misconduct allegations.
