California Attorney General Xavier Becerra is heading an effort to stop President Trump from going around Congress to get funding for his border wall. Becerra led a coalition of 16 states in filing a lawsuit in the US District Court in San Francisco today to block Trump's national emergency declaration. That court has ruled against Trump policies in the past.       The President is urging Venezuelan leaders to side with opposition leader Juan Guaido [[ gwy- DOH ]] amid political turmoil in the country. Speaking in Miami today, President Trump said Venezuelan leaders will face consequences if they don't separate themselves from embattled President Nicols Maduro. Trump also warned about the dangers of socialism and called Maduro's regime corrupt.        Michigan authorities are investigating after the grisly discovery of three dead children and one dead adult about 30 minutes north of Grand Rapids. The incident happened in Solon Township in Kent County. Kent County Sheriff Michelle Lajoye-Young said the department is looking for any surveillance video to help see who was coming in and out of the area.        A grand jury in Cook County, Illinois is reportedly considering evidence against singer R. Kelly. CNN reports that a jury is convening in connection with a videotape that allegedly shows Kelly engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old girl. Attorney Michael Avenatti handed over the tape to the Cook County State's Attorney's Office last weekend.        The Catholic Diocese of Oakland has released a list of priests it says are credibly accused of sexual abuse of children. The oldest allegation goes back to 1962, with 20 of the priests serving in the diocese and the remaining 25 from other Catholic organizations. Only six of the 20 in the diocese are still alive, with two removed from the priesthood and the remaining four kept out of ministry.        Liquidation sales are underway at Payless ShoeSource. The retailer announced that it plans to close all of its 21-hundred stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Payless is no longer offering online sales, as their website is directing consumers to their nearest store.
