Everything’s  Connected

The Audubon Society of R.I. will be presenting the  Everything’s Connected program on Thursday August 23rd from 2-3pm at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library.

This program will introduce children to animal adaptations, food chains & animal ecosystems. There will be a turtle and worms for children to see and learn about.

The program is great for ages 5 & up with an adult caregiver.

Free tickets will be available at the Children’s desk starting Tuesday August 14th.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller [[ MULL-er ]] is being told about what he can and can't say when he testifies on Capitol Hill this week. The Justice Department warned Mueller that his testimony should stay within the bounds of his final report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election. It also notes that he should not testify about any redacted portions of the report.        The Trump administration is going to start fast-tracking some deportations. The Department of Homeland Security is changing its policy that limits which illegal immigrants are entitled to immigration hearings. The new rule will allow authorities to quickly deport illegal immigrants who have been in the country less than two years.        South Korea is sending a warning to Russian bombers that entered its airspace. South Korean fighter jets were scrambled and had to fire warning shows when at least one Russian bomber breached its airspace. It's the first time that has happened.        The 9-11 Victims Compensation Fund is going up for a vote in the Senate Tuesday. Jon Stewart is joining members of Congress, 9/11 first responders, survivors and their families for a news conference on Tuesday immediately following the vote. Officials with the Uniformed Firefighters Association say they are optimistic that the bill will go through and be on the President's desk by the end of the week.       One of the President's top advisers is facing backlash over an addition to her family. First daughter Ivanka Trump is receiving resounding criticism after announcing her family had gotten a blue-eyed, white dog named Winter for her daughter. Twitter users have accused her of preferring whiteness, like her father President Donald Trump has been accused.
