Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is reportedly planning to leave his post in mid-March. An announcement on a nomination for his replacement could occur as soon as this week. Rosenstein has been supervising the Robert Mueller investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.        California Attorney General Xavier Becerra is heading an effort to stop President Trump from going around Congress to get funding for his border wall. Becerra led a coalition of 16 states in filing a lawsuit in the US District Court in San Francisco today to block Trump's national emergency declaration. That court has ruled against Trump policies in the past.        President Trump is addressing the political unrest in Venezuela. In Miami today, President Trump said military leaders in Venezuela have a clear choice: back opposition leader Juan Guaido [[ gwy- DOH ]] as the legitimate president of Venezuela or face consequences. Trump called embattled President Nicols Maduro a Cuban puppet who won't even allow aid to enter the country to feed people.        Jussie Smollett [[ SMUH- let ]] isn't meeting with Chicago police today. That's the statement through the "Empire" actor's attorneys after cops requested to meet with him again today amid reports he may have planned an assault on himself. The two Nigerian brothers arrested in connection with the reported crime are no longer suspects and reports say Smollett may have hired them to stage the incident.        Queen is headed to the Oscars. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences says the British rockers will take the stage for the awards ceremony. They'll be joined by Adam Lambert. The movie Bohemian Rhapsody is up for five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor.
